Tree Atlas

Exporting CSV and DXF

Updated 2026-11-03

You can export a site's trees from the phone app and from the web desk. CSV export is free whether you subscribe or not.

On the phone

  1. Open the site, then the Reports and plans tab.
  2. If the site has a signed revision, choose it in Revision. A draft prints DRAFT on every page.
  3. Tap the file you want:
    • BS 5837 tree survey report (PDF)
    • Tree schedule (CSV), one row per tree with every field
    • Site drawing (DXF), CAD layers in British National Grid, in metres
  4. On iPhone or iPad, the share sheet opens. In a browser, the file downloads.

Exporting needs a connection. Changes still waiting to upload from your phone are not in the export, so let it sync first.

The Job sheet on the same tab is one page for the crew. The phone builds it without signal.

For every site's PDF and CSV in one list, go to Me › Business › Reports.

On the web desk

  1. At treeatlas.app/desk, open the site, then Reports and plans.
  2. Choose a document: Tree Constraints Plan, Report PDF, Tree schedule or CAD drawing.
  3. In Made from, choose the revision.
  4. Tap Export PDF, Export CSV or Export DXF.

To export only some trees, open Tree schedule, select the trees, then tap Export selected.

What the DXF contains

  • The site boundary and tree positions in British National Grid (EPSG:27700, metres).
  • Crowns, root protection areas, the survey grid and removal crosses, each on its own layer.
  • Groups, woodland and hedges with their RPA buffers.

Trees without a recorded position are left out and counted.

A copy of your own data

Go to Me › You, then tap Download my data. You get a JSON file with your profile, the trees, notes and photos you recorded, and your activity log. Photos are links, which last 24 hours. You can run it again at any time. Site plans and reports belong to the business and are not in this file.

If this did not help, report a problem. We reply within one UK business day. If you cannot sync or cannot issue a report, we reply the same day.
