Tree Atlas

For property and estate managers

A record of every tree on the sites you manage

Record each tree with a photo, its location and its condition. Set repeat inspections with reminders, share the work with your contractor, and keep every signed report exactly as it was issued.

From one site to all of them

Record the trees once, then keep the record up to date at each visit.

  1. 1

    Record the trees

Photograph each tree on site. It is placed by GPS, with its species, measurements, condition and notes. It works without signal.

  2. 2

    Plan the inspections

Turn recommendations into tasks with due dates. Set an inspection to repeat, for example every 12 or 18 months, with reminders on iPhone and iPad.

  3. 3

    Keep what was issued

Sign a report and that revision is kept exactly as issued. At the next visit, see what changed since the last signed revision, tree by tree.

What goes in the record

  • Each tree, with photos

Species, measurements, condition, photos and voice notes, placed on the site map by GPS.

  • Repeat inspections

Inspection tasks with due dates that repeat after 12, 18 or 60 months, with reminders on iPhone and iPad.

  • What changed since the last visit

Before you sign, see what changed since the last signed revision: new trees, new measurements and new categories.

  • Signed revisions kept as issued

Each signed report stays exactly as it was issued, so you can show what you had on file and when.

  • Protected trees marked

Mark a tree as TPO, in a conservation area or veteran. The mark shows on the record and in the tree schedule.

  • Reports and exports

A BS 5837 report PDF, a Tree Constraints Plan, the tree schedule as CSV and a DXF for CAD, all from the same records.

  • Work quoted and signed online

Send a proposal for the work. Your client signs or declines it online, and a signed proposal turns the work into tasks.

  • A link for the contractor

Share the job by link or QR code. The person who opens it does not need an account and sees the map, directions and the work tree by tree.

  • Team roles

Each person gets their own sign-in and a role: owner, surveyor or reviewer.

  • Works offline

Trees, photos, measurements and voice notes wait on your phone and upload when you are back in signal.

Before you try it

Tree Atlas keeps the tree record, not the whole estate

It records the trees, the work and the reports. Use it beside your property management system, not instead of it.

See the BS 5837 survey software
  • It does not look up Tree Preservation Orders or conservation areas. Check with the local planning authority.
  • It records the condition you or your arborist enter. It does not inspect the trees for you.
  • BS 5837 categories are proposed by a stated rule set; the surveyor confirms or changes each one.
  • It does not keep records of assets that are not trees.

Property manager questions

Who records the trees?

You, your staff or your arborist. Each person gets their own sign-in and a role. Tree Atlas records what the surveyor enters and proposes BS 5837 categories from a stated rule set; the surveyor confirms or changes each one.

Can I see what changed since the last inspection?

Yes. Before a revision is signed, Tree Atlas shows what changed since the last signed revision, tree by tree. Each signed revision is kept exactly as it was issued.

Does it check for Tree Preservation Orders?

No. Tree Atlas does not look up Tree Preservation Orders or conservation areas. Check with the local planning authority, then mark the tree as TPO or in a conservation area on its record. The mark shows on the record and in the tree schedule.

Can I set repeat inspections?

Yes. Make an inspection task with a due date and set it to repeat after 12, 18 or 60 months. Reminders arrive on iPhone and iPad, and the next inspection is made when you complete the current one.

Is there an Android app?

Built and in testing, not on Google Play yet. Today you can use Tree Atlas in your phone's browser, and on iPhone and iPad from the App Store. The web desk is at treeatlas.app/desk.

Does it work without signal?

Yes. Trees, photos, tree and site notes and voice notes wait on your phone and upload when you are back in range. Save the site's map first in Me › Device › Offline maps. Satellite imagery needs signal.
